IBANEZ LR-10 Lee Ritenour

Artikelnummer: 176

Ibanez produced a signature model for Lee Ritenour, the LR-10. Based on Lee's Gibson ES-335, which he played for years. This guitar is of an exceptionally good quality. It was one of the most exclusive Ibanez models at the time. The LR-10 is one of Ibanez’s five 335 Signature Masterpieces, the JP-20 (for Joe Pass), the PM-100 (Pat Metheny), GB-10 (George Benson), and the JSM-100 (John Scofield).
Compared to the other four models, the LR-10 is definitely ideal for jazz fusion sounds. The LR Special Pickups Super 58 have a warmer tone with a longer sustain. Lee Ritenour himself was a big fan of this guitar and played it intensely in the 1980s. It can also be heard exclusively on his album "Rit", where he also added more elements of pop, but remained true to his sound.
The playability of this instrument is very good. Low action without chattering. The neck is comfortable and feels great in the hand. The hardware comes from Gotoh, the stop tailpiece was specially made for this guitar. The saddle is made of brass. The paint is probably synthetic resin. The instrument was delivered in a precisely fitting case. For further technical data see here:
